Tifway 419 Hybrid Bermuda

As an interspecific hybrid (Cynodon dactylon x Cynodon transvaalensis) it can’t produce viable seed. So the sprigs are the way to reproduce this plant preserving its qualities: fine texture and drought, salinity and diseases resistance.

Variety released by the Georgia University Plant Breeding Dep. It is a “clone”. So, to reproduce the variety by sprigs, guarantees to preserve its minimum water consumption, diseases resistance and salt tolerance (both soil and irrigation water).

Sprigs are the way to plant fairways, tees and roughs in golf courses. Wide public parks too.
